It ties the town to Veronica Micle and Eminescu and keeps the desk where she wrote poems and letters.
About the place
The house was built around 1834 by Neamț Monastery as a dependency and a school for monks. Ana Câmpeanu, mother of Veronica Micle (1850–1889), bought it in 1850, and Veronica received it as a dowry in 1864, when she married Ștefan Micle. In 1886 she gave it to Văratec Monastery.
The museum has three rooms: one with personal belongings, photographs and facsimiles of manuscripts and letters, one with furniture and clothes from the second half of the 19th century, and her study, with the desk where she wrote poems and letters to Eminescu. The exhibition was redone in 2010. The house is run by the Neamț National Museum Complex.
